Information We Collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. When you add pets, we store the details you provide: species, breed, date of birth, weight, and an optional photo. Health records — vaccinations, medications, symptoms, journal entries, appointments, walks, and preventive care — are stored securely and linked to your account.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to provide the Zoey Pet® service. We display your pet records back to you, power the dashboard and reminders, and process subscription payments via PayPal. We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Payments & Third Parties
All payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store credit card or bank account details. When you initiate a payment, you are subject to PayPal's own Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation of successful payment.
Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as one-way bcrypt hashes — we cannot see your password. Access to the database is restricted and audited. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.
Cookies & Local Storage
Zoey Pet® uses localStorage in your browser to keep you logged in between sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Data Retention
Your account and all associated pet records are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will permanently and irreversibly remove all your data from our servers.
Children's Privacy
Zoey Pet® is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Account deletion is available in Settings. For any other requests — including data exports — please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
